Dr. Kaminsky is a shoulder and sports medicine specialist with Premier Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine. He has authored publications in peer-reviewed medical literature, is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is affiliated with Summit Medical Center and Surgery Center, Saint Thomas Hospital, Premier Orthopaedic Surgery Center, and Centennial Surgery Center.

Dr. Kaminsky teaches other orthopaedic surgeons advanced shoulder arthroscopic and reconstructive surgeries. He has taught hundreds of orthopaedic surgeons from around the country and continues to teach. His instructional courses and seminars are locally and nationally recognized. Orthopaedic companies ask him to evaluate the latest shoulder products and provide his insight. His own shoulder products and designs have been used throughout the country.

Dr. Kaminsky completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. The University of Iowa Hospitals is considered to be among the best Orthopaedic hospitals in the country, and is consistently ranked in the top ten by U.S. News and World Report. Dr. Kaminsky completed his medical school at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia where he was awarded the Joseph Whitehead Surgery Scholarship. He was accepted to medical school after his second year of college under the Early Acceptance Program of Emory Medical School.

Dr. Kaminsky completed a Shoulder and Sports Medicine Fellowship from the prestigious Hughston Clinic – a world renowned facility and one of the oldest sports medicine institutes in the country. His research on shoulder surgery has been presented on a national level, including the annual meeting of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Shoulder and Elbow Society.

He has been honored with the Certificate of Excellence in Shoulder Surgery from The Hughston Clinic, the Outstanding Research Award from The Hughston Sports Medicine Foundation, and the Tate Whitman Award in Economics from Emory University. 

Dr. Kaminsky has been a team physician for area high school teams, recreational leagues, and regional sporting events.
